Couples Therapy
Everyone comes to couples therapy with their own valid experiences, which need to be listened to and appreciated. Underneath those experiences are emotions that are longing to be processed with your partner. My work is to help you hear each other, and help you learn how to respond to the other in a way that brings you closer together. Individually, I can help you understand your own pain and help you communicate that to someone else so shared experiences can be positive again.
Traumatic Grief
Losing a person can cause trauma and grief. I can help you as you process both. Trauma happens in your body as a response to your experience, and grief is the way you continue to connect to the lost person while also learning to live your life away from them. I can sit with you and hold your pain, I can give you tools and strategies to navigate this physical and emotional break, and I can help you begin your journey on the road to healing and renewal.

You’re in the kitchen but you can’t get the ingredients to come together. You’re in your room but sleep is so far away. You’re with your friends but you feel isolated and alone. You crave closeness and at the same time feel you are letting everyone down. Every day, you feel like can’t do this anymore. Your way of functioning in this world isn’t working and it is wearing you down. You feel very stuck and your energy is so low. You are starting to feel the physical manifestation of all of your emotional pain in your body. At this point, you need help. You need someone to help you process your emotions and move forward out of this dark place. If you don’t do this now, you are going to keep falling behind. Individual Therapy
I can help you let go of old patterns so that you can freely create the life you want. We do this through recognizing defenses that are no longer working, through paying attention to where negative emotions are stuck in the body, and through creating a relationship with empathy, honesty, and wholeness. With therapy/counseling you can find, return to, and celebrate your true, unadulterated, beautiful self.
